Using a "Buyer's Agent" in
Your Transaction(562) 243-5325
There are different ways of going about shopping for a
home. Many people find themselves starting their search
on their own. It is natural not to want the
"pressures" of a salesman hanging around like a
vulture on a used car lot for example, but the home
buying process is NOT a place to use this logic. The
information that you need is simply not available to you,
and it costs you NOTHING to get an agent involved, since
his commissions are paid out of the seller's proceeds,
through the listing agent. There are other very important
reasons. If you shop by going to "open houses",
you are speaking with agents who have been hired to
represent the seller in the transaction. Does it not seem
logical to get someone on your side, working only for
you, especially when the costs are not being borne by
you? If you are looking at only the properties where
there are open houses, you are seeing a very small
portion of the properties available. Many homes do not
even have "for sale"signs on them. You need a
real estate agent working on your side, for you alone,
providing the information that you need to meet your
requirements. Follow the following "house
hunting" procedure, for success!
- Complete "Buyer's Questionaire".
- Get a Real Estate Agent on YOUR side!
- Meet immediately with a lender to determine the
amount you can afford to buy.
- Determine the amount of money you are comfortable
with spending every month.
- Your agent will then find best properties to show
with this information, by searching and
previewing according to your needs and amount you
can spend.
- See properties. You must begin to understand
value to make the best offer.
- Keep the best three in mind while looking. The
one you will want will become very clear soon!
- When you know which one, MAKE AN OFFER. Be
prepared by that time to go forward.
- Get ready to move!!
