Credit Report - Electronic Authorization Requirements

Identity theft has become a bigger problem in recent months in our industry. At Pacific Southland, we've never had a problem, and we feel the need to initiate additional procedures in order to protect against this threat.

I can always meet with you in person to take the credit authorization and review necessary identity materials. If however you desire to complete the process online, in order to electronically order and allow us to pull your credit report, please complete the following steps:

1) Make a copy (both you and your spouse if this is a joint credit report) of your a) driver's license or passport and b) social security card. BOTH ITEMS ARE REQUIRED.

2) Print the form, above. Click: "Credit Authorization Form"

Complete the form in its entirety; all applicants must sign. This form along with i.d. items above can be faxed to the number on the form, or emailed from your DIRECT PROVIDER EMAIL ADDRESS (no hotmail, yahoo, etc.) to jim@pacificsouthland.com -

3) As a further identity verification, you will need to pay for this report with a credit card that is in your name via Paypal. The fee is $ 30 which covers the costs of pulling the report (fee is the same for individuals or married parties on a single report) and processing. Go to www.paypal.com - sign up for an account if you need to (very easy) - then send your payment to:

If you have all the necessary items and are reasonably internet savvy, this whole process will take you about 15 minutes.

If you do not have your actual social security card:

In order to close any loan transaction, you will need this item anyway (new requirement), so this is not an extra step. If you do not have or cannot find your social security card, please go online to:

http://www.ssa.gov/ssnumber/

Begin the process there of getting a replacement card; it should only take a few days. I will need this item in order to pull your report electronically, otherwise I will have to meet you in person to take the request. You WILL need this item to close any mortgage loan!

If you do not have your driver's license or passport, please contact the appropriate agency.

Again, if you'd rather, we can take all of this in a personal meeting. This process is required when we are going to pull and provide a credit report in an "anonymous" fashion electronically. If we have done business in the past and have previously pulled your credit, you do not need to complete this process, just fill in the application (step 2) and fax.
